Enhance your Summit of Minds on Snow by adding the thrill and challenge of skiing the iconic Vallée Blanche, in the heart of the Mont-Blanc mountain range. Ski in the company of other MB community members, led by our friends and partners Mountain Path.

When, Where and How?
Pre or Post Summit (21st or 25th March) weather permitting. The Vallée Blanche is accessed via the Aiguille du Midi cable car, climbing to a height of 3,842m. It is one of the finest off-piste glacier sites in the world and early spring can be one of the best moments to ski it. However, it remains a high-mountain venture and to make the most of the experience, despite what you might hear about it being an ‘easy red run ski’, you must be a very competent skier, not suffer from any form of vertigo and feel completely at ease with the equipment essential for your security.
What to Expect?
22km off-piste skiing amidst glaciers, crevasses and seracs
2800m vertical drop starting at 3842m
Depending on snow conditions finish either at le Montenvers station and return by train or ski all the way back to Les Planards in Chamonix
A round trip of between 4 to 6 hours
If weather or snow conditions prevent skiing the Vallée Blanche, the guide will choose another destination

What You Have to Do
Be at the rdv point on time equipped with:
- Downhill or ski touring skis (with velcro straps to hold them together for the descent of the ridge).
- Ski poles
- Helmet
- Backpack containing security kit (avalanche transeiver, shovel and probe). These can be hired from Concept Pro Chamonix taking advantage of a Summit of Minds discount.
- Extra clothing, gloves, ski goggles, sunglasses, suntan cream, water bottle.
